Manager, Global Customs Compli

The Global Customs Compliance and Training Manager oversees customs/export compliance and business process/product training worldwide.  Manages the development of export licensing procedures for use in global plants/distribution centers.  Develops, designs and implements customs training programs for the entire organization.  Advises key staff within other Divisions of customs and export regulations.  Monitors license use and compliance throughout the organization. Position ensures that the Company maintains its leadership position in the industry, by ensuring products are available to customers through proper import/export management. Responsibilities: Ensures imported/exported shipments conform to governmental rules and regulations by managing the development of processes and procedures and training for use by global plants and distribution centers o Sets the vision and culture of achieving a high quality of service across all stakeholders; owners, clients, and employees o Fosters a fun, dynamic, community-friendly, collaborative and team-based environment o Designs, establishes, executes, and monitors product and business planning o Collaborates with various stakeholders including Product Managers, Systems Analysts, Engineers, and Developers to understand technology plans o Reviews and updates current processes, communicates improvements to management, and ensures proper implementation and company objectives are met o Ensures compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies o Leads product education and usability experience training efforts o Collaborates with engineers to build a high-quality Customs Administration Compliance Management o Designs and builds a Learning Framework for learning within the Shure customs trade ecosystem o Leads the designs for inline Custom Administration Management product experience which allows users to update data efficiently o Understands product interaction within a business process and from an end user experience view point o Coordinates and verifies import and export orders by interfacing with key staff in Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to verify product weights and volumes o Takes ownership in driving new feature development through every stage of the product life cycle and deliver incremental value o Resolves issues and contributes to Company performance by responding to changing product development/distribution needs o Works with customs brokers, regulatory agents, and attorneys to resolve related issues by clarifying questions and recommending solutions o Assists in the development of any reporting or documentation needed for compliance purposes (Country of Origin certificates, HTSUS codes) and interfaces with other departments to ensure documentation is maintained, and, when applicable, entered correctly in SAP o May represent the Company at industry/field events o Participates on Product Development teams regarding product labeling, product marketing and raw material sourcing decisions o Manages staff to include training, development, compensation, hiring, firing and performance management o Other duties as assigned including the participation in Divisional or Corporate project teams Requirements: o Bachelor's degree, required.   o Licensed U.S. Customs Broker is desirable.  o Minimum of 5 years of wide-ranging experience including Export licensing, Customs issues/ compliance, User Experience Design, Product Management, and developing and designing training programs with responsibility for results, including costs and methods. o Able to travel both domestically and internationally. o SAP a plus. o Demonstrated ability of working on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. o Demonstrated experience in determining the best use of resources to meet goals of assignments received in the form of objectives. o Able to lead cooperative efforts among members of project teams. o Able to follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. o Able to develop and administers schedules, and establish performance requirements 3150

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
