Overview:
The Accountant is responsible for providing accounting support to supervisors and managers within the company.
They are responsible for Accounts Payable and general ledger system entry.
They will handle filing of general journals and coordination of weekly check runs.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily cash tracking.
Prepare month end bank reconciliations.
Prepare numerous general ledger entries to support business activities, including prepaids, property taxes, and month end accruals.
Prepare month-end account reconciliations.
Support the fixed asset process by acquiring capital projects and booking monthly depreciation.
Provide weekly support to the Accounts Receivable team by entering cash deposits.
Partner with business leads on annual budgets and monthly tracking of expenses vs budget.
Administrator for Concur (Travel & Entertainment reporting system) and recording of all T&E expenses.
Provide documentation for external and internal audits.
Assist the other accounting personnel as needed This list of responsibilities may not be all-inclusive and can be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as needed and the proper skill-set is shown.
Qualifications:
BA / BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
1-2 years of experience in a financial environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel.
Able to work with a minimum of supervision while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
Strong work ethic, emphasis on attention to details and understanding the importance of communication Analytical problem solving ability & performs with a sense of urgency.
Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines.
Recommended Skills Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Attention To Detail Auditing Filing Finance Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
